Anathema – intensely disliked

Angst – deep anxiety or dread

Anguish – severe pain

Animosity – strong hostility
Example: Years of animosity led to conflict.

Annoy – to irritate

Annihilate – to destroy completely

Antagonism – active hostility

Anomalous – deviating from norm

Anomaly – irregular occurrence

Antecedent – something that precedes
